Eric Weil is the Chief Operating Officer and a founder of Stack21 Solutions, an investigation and consulting firm formed to leverage the experience of an elite team of investigators in resolving sensitive and complex matters for clients. A 22-year veteran of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Eric is a determined investigator with a demonstrated track record of pursuing, building, and successfully executing investigations. His innovative leadership resulted in maximum impact on transnational criminal organizations. His leadership is based on clear vision, collaboration, and using a highly strategic approach for attacking complex problems.   

Mr. Weil’s career in the DEA began in the New York Division, leading investigations targeting high-level drug traffickers and money launderers. After a decade in New York, he was selected for a pivotal post in DEA’s Panama Country Office, focusing on investigations in the maritime, logistical, and fugitive apprehension spaces. He effectively collaborated with partner law enforcement, military, and host nation agencies to advance the mission on multiple fronts. After his overseas tour, Mr. Weil was promoted to the role of Supervisory Special Agent in the Chicago Field Division and was chosen to form a new cross-functional, interagency team targeting drug-related violent crime. His success in Chicago resulted in Mr. Weil's selection as an Inspector for the DEA’s Office of Professional Responsibility in Washington DC, where his work focused on ensuring agency integrity. His final post in the DEA was as the head of the Cyber Support Section managing cyber-focused investigative personnel supporting global investigations, and a member of the National Cybercrime Investigative Joint Task Force. As a leader in the Operations Division, Mr. Weil secured investigative tools, established best practices, and built capacity for cyber-investigations. He supervised a team responsible for cryptocurrency tracing, and obfuscation, online actor attribution and tracking, as well as interfacing with and supporting cyber-investigations worldwide.

Mr. Weil has channeled his expertise into building Stack21 Solutions, focusing on providing clients with top-tier investigative services, investigative software selection and consultation, organizational risk management, and cyber-investigative strategy development and training. His strategic vision and leadership have positioned Stack21 Solutions as a trusted partner for corporations seeking to navigate complex investigative and risk management challenges.

Eric holds a BA in Communications and Criminology from the University of Iowa and a MS in Industrial Labor Relations from West Virginia University, as well as certifications from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.
